Programmes, objectifs, buts : "Droits de la Femme et Internet" (version anglaise)

The war of liberation of 1996 led in the East of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and that which was started in August, 2nd of 1998; which is like a certain occupation. Whith all kind of misfortune, have inspired the initiators of woman rights and internet in DRC (WRI - DRC).

The occupation of the territory of the DRCongo ± 40 % of the national territory by foreign troups : Ougandese, Burundese, and Rwandese has plonged the populations of Est Congo in a traumatism.

Thus, women were violeted and barried a live, young girls violeted and deported, sometimes they became sexual slaves, old people without any defense were kild, the intolerance was beyond imagination, etc.
That the reason why, and in that particular aim of struggling against those in human praticals, was born the Women Righs and Internet in DRC (WRI - DRC).

The struggle that lead the human rights and Internet in DRC is that of making the DRCongo a peaceful and quit land where all the communities will live in peace; for a better weld, just and fair.

Thus, the WRI - DRCongo, would live to restore the human dignity where it is derided.

1) Aims and objectives of the organization

Aims :

Woman Rights and Internet in DRC (WRI - DRC) fighting for equality of chance between members of all communities about human dignity; justice, peace and development integral of man.

Woman Rights and Internet fights also for the promotion of a peaceful world where women and young girls will never constrained by force.

We, members of Woman Rights and Internet in Democratic Republic of Congo are against of any kind of slavery of all nature it might be.

Objectives :

We, members of Woman Rights and Internet in DRC (WRI - DRC) fight against all enslavement of man, woman and girl especially against all kind of slavery : human trade or trafic, sexual slavery, prostitutions by force, deportation by force of populations.

We fight for human rights defence of women and young girls and for their promotion.

- To conceive mecanisms to take in charge women and young girls who are victims of violence.

We fight against poverty of woman and young girls and violence which are done to women and young girls through the new technologies, especially the Internet.

We encourage development and peace in regions which are suffering from wars and disputes or interethnic conflicts, fight against all racial discrimination, religian, linguistic and intolerance.

3) Programs (Achevement so far)

- Creating a computer Science Center :

To form and to initiate women and young girls to new technic of compuetr Science. To allow women to acced easely to the Internet.

- To popularising the Internet :

This means that we will assure lots of sessions of formations through countries in faver of Congolese woman in order to ellow here to be capable of creating websites, list of diffusions in the aim of being in contact with other women of the world.

- Bringing a legal and judicial assistance :

We wish to assiste women and young girls in bringing them legal and juditial assistance, specially to those victms of violation of all sorts. It is a question for exemple of helping them bring their executioners in to justice. In the same case we want to help women who are victims of violations of their numerois rights, to be put into their right. We will put therefore, to their service, lawyers who will be able to defend them in front of a competent court.

- Popularing the human rights among field that pose lot of problem in the country, we have that of human right.
Obviasly, the majority of rights are ignote by the detentors.That why there is need of popularising in faver of the beg number, the fondamental human rights. That can be possible when conferences, debats, seminers in local lenguages so as to ellow the majority enderstand and defend their rights.
We also have the embition of making public the different human rights aspects through the media in national lenguages.
